Waivers must be signed by all volunteers and participants.  Kids and Teens classes require a parent or guardian to sign the waiver, to be turned in on or before the first day of class. We suggest sending a letter home to parents before Kids or Teens classes to explain the premise. All waivers must be signed before the first lesson begins, as the course launches right into knife skills on Day 1!  Absolutely no one (volunteer or participant) is allowed to continue the course without a signed waiver.

Volunteer Waivers

NEW- Volunteers should fill out a volunteer waiver the first time they volunteer. Satellite partners must run each volunteers’ name in a search of the National Sex Offender Registry to confirm that zero records are generated for each individual working with your program. The satellite partner contact person should then check the box at the bottom of the waiver that reads: “This individual does not appear on the National Sex Offender Registry.” Individuals that do appear on the registry should not be allowed to participate in the program.
